About Harriet Tubman
Born Araminta âMintyâ Ross, in 1822, Harriet Tubman escaped slavery and went on to become a conductor of the Underground Railroad, leading dozens of enslaved people to freedom. Beyond the Railroad, Tubman also served as a nurse, scout, and spy during the Civil War, further cementing her legacy as a fearless leader and humanitarian.
