About the Manta Ray:
Manta rays are gentle filter feeders known for their huge “wings,” which they use to glide effortlessly through warm oceans around the world. Instead of teeth, they use gill rakers to strain tiny plankton and fish eggs from the water as they swim with their mouths open. Despite their size, mantas are harmless to humans and are often described as curious and intelligent, sometimes looping back to circle divers or leap completely out of the water. Sadly, many manta populations are threatened by overfishing, entanglement, and pollution, making conservation efforts, and ocean loving awareness pieces like this pin, more important than ever.
